MCLEAN, Va., Oct. 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Mars, Incorporated, a global leader in snacking, food and pet care, and maker of beloved brands like M&M’S®, SKITTLES®, CHEEZ-IT®, Ben’s Original™, ROYAL CANIN®, and PEDIGREE®, today, has been named to Forbes’ Most Trusted Companies in America list. Included on the list for the second consecutive year, Mars rose in rank to number 17 from number 40 in 2026. In total, the list recognizes 300 companies and evaluates trust across multiple measures, including employee sentiment, consumer trust, financial performance, business trajectory, media sentiment and workforce stability.
“For 115 years, our brands have driven excitement and fostered a sense of connection through shared experiences,” said Anton Vincent, President of Mars Snacking North America and Global Ice Cream – a division of Mars, Incorporated. “Our Associates feel a responsibility to continue serving our consumers, which is why as a company, we think in generations. We invest in our Associates, in innovation, and in the people and pets in communities where we work and operate because we want to be there for families and communities for generations to come. Being named to Forbes’ list for the second consecutive year is a meaningful recognition of that work.”
Mars started out of a family kitchen in Tacoma, WA 115 years ago. While the company remains family-owned and privately held, it has evolved into a snacking, food and pet leader that Americans have turned to for generations. Guided by its Purpose—the world we want tomorrow starts with how we do business today—and powered by its 80,000 U.S. Associates, Mars works to build trust through its products and services, its workplace and its role in communities where it operates.
Over the years, Mars and its brands have been an integral part of cultural milestones: from JUICY FRUIT® being the first packaged good scanned with a UPC barcode in 1974; to M&M’S being the first candy in space in 1981; and SNICKERS launching its iconic ‘You’re Not You When You’re Hungry’ campaign in 2010.
Mars and its brands have also shown up for communities through programs and partnerships that support people and pets:
- The Mars BETTER CITIES FOR PETS™ program advances more pet-inclusive communities where people and pets can thrive together, supporting over 200 cities across the country since 2017.
- Mars Eukanuba™ brand, part of the Royal Canin Division, has proudly served as the exclusive dog food partner of Canine Companions®, for over 35 years helping fueling service dogs that provide life-changing independence to children, adults, and veterans with disabilities.
- Through a recent partnership between Ben’s Original and baseball player Ben Rice, the brand provided access to over 500,000 meals for kids facing hunger through No Kid Hungry.
Across the country, Mars operates 53 factories, research labs and offices in addition to over 2,000 veterinary clinics and hospitals. To ensure long-term resilience and growth in its largest market, Mars has committed to continued investments into U.S. manufacturing. Earlier this year, Mars was honored by Glassdoor as one of the Best Places to Work in the U.S., ranking sixth out of 100 companies on the main list and taking the coveted first-place spot on the inaugural Best Places to Work in Manufacturing & Energy list.
