Evvy, the pioneering precision medicine company for women’s health, today announced an oversubscribed $40 million Series B led by Catalio Capital Management. Since its founding in 2021, the company has built the world’s largest proprietary, clinical-grade dataset on the vaginal microbiome and women’s health outcomes — and the machine learning engine, EvvyAI, that interprets large-scale biological data to transform patient care. This round will fund the validation of a new generation of AI-driven diagnostic and care models across women’s health, starting with fertility.
The Series B funding round includes new investors Catalio Capital Management, Rethink Impact, Muse Capital, and Alumni Ventures, alongside existing investors LabCorp Venture Fund, General Catalyst, Left Lane Capital, BBG Ventures, Amboy Street Ventures, Ingeborg, Foreground Capital, and Flywheel Ventures.
Founded by Priyanka Jain, Laine Bruzek, and Pita Navarro, Evvy is the leading vaginal microbiome platform, serving over 100,000 patients and 3,000 practitioners with comprehensive at-home testing, personalized treatment, and longitudinal biomarker tracking. Every Evvy test is powered by CLIA-certified, NYS CLEP-approved metagenomic sequencing; ordered and interpreted by licensed clinicians; and matched with prescription treatment plans tailored to each patient’s results and health history where relevant. Evvy’s proprietary dataset and insights compound with every test, and their platform has already led to 13 peer-reviewed publications and abstracts, the identification of novel BV Subtypes, and the discovery of hundreds of previously uncatalogued vaginal microbiome genomes.
The majority of patients come to Evvy with active vaginal symptoms or fertility challenges that standard-of-care testing has failed to explain. In the U.S., vaginal symptoms are a leading reason women seek healthcare, yet patients face 50%+ misdiagnosis rates and 60%+ recurrence rates in traditional care settings. Licensed clinicians leveraging Evvy’s platform and EvvyAI are able to deliver a diagnosis to 90%+ of symptomatic patients and drive a ~50%+ reduction in bacterial vaginosis (BV) recurrence through targeted, data-driven treatment protocols. The significant improvements to patient outcomes have been validated in peer-reviewed research.
“We were drawn to Evvy not only because of its growth, but because of the unique data and AI infrastructure the company is building, and the exceptional team executing on it,” said Jacob Vogelstein, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Catalio Capital Management. “Its combination of proprietary data, clinical evidence, and a growing biomarker discovery engine creates an entirely new foundation for precision women’s healthcare. We believe Evvy is building the data platform that will define this category for decades to come.”
With the new capital, Evvy will pursue clinical validation of new EvvyAI-powered diagnostic and care models across a set of women’s health conditions that collectively cost the healthcare system more than $180 billion in underserved outcomes — and expand distribution through physicians and partner channels. Evvy will also continue its collaboration with US Fertility, the nation’s largest network of fertility clinics, to advance research on the role of the vaginal microbiome in fertility and reproductive health.
“Women hear ‘unexplained’ constantly — unexplained infertility, unexplained recurrence, unexplained pain. It’s stated like a diagnosis, when it really just means medicine wasn’t built to measure female biology,” said Priyanka Jain, Co-Founder and CEO of Evvy. “We set out to build the datasets and AI infrastructure that precision medicine in women’s health has been missing. The vaginal microbiome is a perfect example of this — a powerful, overlooked biomarker impacting fertility, preterm birth, gynecological cancers, and more. Evvy is building the evidence, infrastructure, and partnerships needed to make precision, data-driven care the standard for women’s health.”
