Relationship advances ADAS workflow education and enables approved VSSTA training to qualify for I-CAR training credit
WILLIS, TX, UNITED STATES, September 15, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — VSSTA today announced that it has joined I-CAR (Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair) as a Sustaining Partner and plans to participate in the I-CAR Industry Training Alliance®, through which approved partner courses can earn I-CAR credit toward industry-recognized training requirements.
The relationship combines I-CAR’s industry education mission with VSSTA’s focus on helping collision repair facilities integrate ADAS requirements throughout the repair process, from repair planning and diagnostics through calibration, documentation, and final delivery.
The I-CAR Industry Training Alliance recognizes training completed through approved training providers, helping reduce redundant training across the collision repair industry.
“This relationship with I-CAR is an important step in our commitment to education and to helping collision repair facilities manage the growing complexity of ADAS,” said Ruben Castaño, CEO of VSSTA. “ADAS is no longer a separate step at the end of a repair. It needs to be considered throughout the entire repair process, from estimating and repair planning through calibration, documentation, and final delivery. Our goal is to give shops practical knowledge and workflows they can put to work every day.”
Expanding ADAS Workflow Education
The relationship builds on VSSTA’s growing ADAS Workflow Certification program, a VSSTA-developed educational initiative designed to provide collision repair professionals with practical training around integrating ADAS requirements throughout the repair process.
Through its participation in the Industry Training Alliance, eligible VSSTA courses may be submitted to I-CAR for review and, when approved, recognized for I-CAR training credit.
Supporting an Increasingly Complex Repair Environment
ADAS technology continues to create new challenges for collision repair facilities as vehicle systems, OEM procedures, calibration requirements, and documentation expectations become increasingly complex.
VSSTA combines technology, remote support, OEM information, documentation, and education to help collision repair facilities manage those requirements more consistently throughout the repair process.
As an I-CAR Sustaining Partner, VSSTA will also have opportunities to participate in industry education and engagement initiatives, further supporting conversations around ADAS workflows and the evolving needs of collision repair professionals.
“Our objective is to help make ADAS competency part of the everyday repair process,” added Castaño. “Combining practical workflow education with the ability for approved courses to receive I-CAR training credit gives us another way to help shops build that capability across their organizations.”
