A three-time DC Arts and Humanities Fellow on building an occult-noir audio drama that blends real Washington history with queer storytelling

WASHINGTON, DC, UNITED STATES, September 9, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Behind the occult-noir audio drama Dupont Investigations is Marc Benjamin Langston, a Washington writer and attorney and a three-time DC Arts and Humanities Fellow awarded for fiction. His second season, Flight of the Fallen, is streaming now, sending occult private investigator Torsten Somersby onto the trail of a winged creature in a 1936 Washington he calls the “District of Crime.”

Langston’s storytelling intertwines historical accuracy, LGBTQ+ representation, and immersive narrative. In Dupont Investigations, that means a queer detective taking the cases no one else will touch, a real brewmaster woven into the plot, and a period Washington researched down to the household staff of the houses it visits. Both creators are DC Arts and Humanities Fellows, recognized for their outstanding contributions to DC as a world-class cultural capital, for their fiction and popular-music work, respectively.
