Airswift Expands U.S. Energy Capabilities with Acquisition of New Tech Global Businesses
PR Newswire
HOUSTON, Sept. 3, 2026
HOUSTON, Sept. 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Airswift, a portfolio company of Gemspring Capital and a global workforce solutions provider, announced today that it has acquired assets of selected New Tech Global (“NTG”) businesses. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The acquisition includes three NTG businesses: New Tech Global Ventures, New Tech Global Rig Personnel, and NTG Auburn. New Tech Global Ventures and New Tech Global Rig Personnel strengthen Airswift’s upstream oil and gas workforce solutions offering, particularly across drilling and completions, while NTG Auburn, which will be rebranded as Auburn Energy Management, adds project and asset management, contract operations, and technical advisory services.
NTG has built a strong position serving customers across the upstream energy sector, with specialized expertise and personnel supporting drilling, completions, field operations, and other mission-critical activities. The combination expands Airswift’s presence in an important segment of the North American energy market while creating additional opportunities to serve customers across a broader range of workforce and technical needs.
“NTG is a business we have followed for a long time and one we are glad to now own,” said James Allen, CEO of Airswift. “NTG brings specialist upstream capability in the US, a strong team, deep customer relationships, and a scaled contractor community for our clients to draw on. We are investing in US energy because we believe the demand for skilled talent and reliable project delivery is durable, and we intend to be the partner clients turn to for both.”
“Airswift is the ideal partner for these businesses and the people behind them,” said Keith Grimes, Chief Executive Officer of NTG. “The combination of NTG’s specialist expertise and client relationships with Airswift’s global infrastructure, technology, and market presence creates a strong platform for long-term growth. We are proud of what our teams have built and look forward to the opportunities ahead for our employees, contractors, and customers.”
