CALGARY, Alberta, Sept. 03, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Northern Discovery Metals Inc. (CSE: NOR) (FSE: M1V0) (“Northern Discovery” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that exploration personnel are scheduled to mobilize to the Vent Copper Project (the “Project”) on September 10, 2026, to commence Stage 1 of the Company’s previously announced target-refinement exploration program on August 17, 2026. The Project is located in the Alberni Mining Division on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, and is subject to an option agreement pursuant to which the Company may acquire up to a 100% interest.
As announced in the August 25, 2026 news release, Geomap Exploration Inc. (“Geomap”) has been engaged to plan, coordinate and execute the program. Fieldwork is expected to continue for approximately three weeks, subject to weather, access and other suitable field conditions. Work will initially focus on the Vent-Ken and Sentinel Peak areas and will include geological mapping, prospecting and targeted rock and soil sampling. The field team will evaluate the geological setting of the strongest copper and molybdenum responses, check priority magnetic and very-low-frequency electromagnetic (“VLF-EM”) responses identified in the existing datasets, and follow up on new evidence encountered during the program where warranted.
Results from the program will be integrated with the Company’s existing geological, geochemical and geophysical information to refine its geological model and rank the priority areas. If the work identifies a target supported by coherent geological and geochemical evidence, focused induced-polarization or other ground geophysical work may be considered separately to further refine and rank potential drill targets.
“The confirmed upcoming mobilization date moves the Vent program from planning into field execution,” said Jared Suchan, Chief Executive Officer of Northern Discovery. “The field team will test the priority copper and molybdenum responses against the geology on the ground so that we can rank the areas on a consistent technical basis and determine where further work is warranted.”
