Formation unites leading practices under a majority physician-owned structure designed as an alternative to private equity consolidation

INDIANAPOLIS, Sept. 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — LegacyMD, LLC today announced its formation as a majority physician-owned platform for concierge and direct primary care practices, launching with the combination of two market-leading practices: Priority Physicians of Greater Indianapolis and HealthBridge Personalized Medicine of Long Island, New York. Together, the practices will encompass 21 physicians across four locations by the end of 2026, with new flagship offices in Fishers, Indiana, and Lake Success, New York.

LegacyMD was founded by the leadership team of Priority Physicians to answer a question an increasing number of practice owners face: how to realize the value of what they’ve built without selling to purely financial buyers. Unlike traditional consolidators, LegacyMD is majority owned by its physicians and employees, offers opportunities for equity ownership to employed doctors as part of every transaction, and is built for long-term compounding rather than a resale.
