Enterprise Imaging Cloud investment advances Infirmary Health’s strategy to modernize imaging, simplify radiology workflows and create a scalable foundation for continued growth.
CARLSTADT, NJ / ACCESS Newswire / October 26, 2026 / Infirmary Health has selected AGFA HealthCare Enterprise Imaging Cloud (SaaS) to modernize its radiology imaging environment and establish a foundation for a broader Enterprise Imaging strategy across the health system. The fully managed SaaS solution will initially support radiology and mammography, bringing together diagnostic imaging, intelligent workflow orchestration, vendor-neutral image management and integration with Infirmary Health’s EPIC electronic health record.
Healthcare organizations are moving away from fragmented imaging environments toward unified Enterprise Imaging platforms that simplify clinical workflows and reduce operational complexity. For Infirmary Health, a key priority was creating more efficient and consistent radiology workflows across the health system. Intelligent workflow orchestration will help coordinate case assignment and balance workload across the radiology team, supporting a consistent reading experience across the hospital, outpatient, and remote environments.
“Our goal was to create a more consistent and efficient imaging environment across our health system with a platform that improves the experience for our radiologists, whether they’re reading at one of our facilities or remotely, while giving us the flexibility to grow,” said Kenny Breal, Vice President, Clinical Operations, Infirmary Health. “Workflow is a major part of that. We wanted the ability to better coordinate and distribute work across our radiology team, while creating a foundation that gives us the flexibility to expand our Enterprise Imaging strategy over time.”
Infirmary Health is Alabama’s largest not-for-profit, non-governmental healthcare provider, serving all counties across the Gulf Coast.
“Radiologist productivity and satisfaction is a key initiative for healthcare organizations. They’re investing in Enterprise Imaging platforms that reduce complexity, enable greater clinical attention and create the flexibility to adapt as imaging volumes, technologies, and care models continue to evolve,” said Omar Sunna, Chief Customer Officer, North America, AGFA HealthCare. “We’re proud to support Infirmary Health as they build a modern imaging foundation designed to support efficient radiologist workflows and clinical demands while supporting future growth and innovation.”
By moving to a fully managed SaaS model, Infirmary Health will modernize its imaging environment without the operational burden of managing on-premises infrastructure. AGFA HealthCare will manage the platform and its ongoing evolution, enabling Infirmary Health’s IT and clinical teams to focus their resources on supporting care delivery across the health system.
