Denver, Colorado – October 14, 2026 – PRESSADVANTAGE –

Denver Dive, an independent culture publication founded in 2025, has published the October edition of its monthly series in which members of its editorial team each select the events, openings and releases they plan to follow during the month. The October list covers concerts, a major museum exhibition, a retail opening, film releases and seasonal events across the city.

The series is published at the start of each month. It is organized by contributor rather than compiled by a single editor, so each staff member’s selections appear under their own name. Each edition draws from the publication’s full range of coverage areas, including music, food, the arts, style, the outdoors and wellness.

One of this month’s selections is DIVA at the Denver Art Museum. According to the publication, the exhibition looks at the role of fashion in music, film and popular culture through the work of nearly 100 performers. It opened to museum members on October 2 and to the public on October 4. The October list also covers the opening of the first outlet location from Arc Thrift Stores on October 5. The publication reports that the outlet uses pay-by-the-pound pricing, a model new to the retailer.

Live music makes up a large share of the month’s picks. The list includes the electronic artist jigitz at the Ogden Theatre on October 10, Osees at the Ogden Theatre on October 11, KETTAMA at Mission Ballroom on October 24 and the New York rock band Geese at Mission Ballroom on October 28. The publication also covered the first Denver PorchFest, a free neighborhood music festival held October 3, including an interview with lead organizer Bradley Schwartz.

Seasonal programming also appears on the list. It includes a History Mystery Tour at Fairmount Cemetery on October 16 and Haus of Horrors on October 17, a fashion show featuring local designers hosted by the nonprofit D3 Arts. The edition notes film releases arriving in theaters on October 9 and October 23 and points readers to independent venues such as the Sie FilmCenter and the Landmark Mayan Theatre. For a trip outside the city, it highlights the Georgetown Loop Railroad, which runs through January 2027.

Food selections in the October edition include a guide to Japanese dining and shopping within the city. The list points readers to Tokyo Premium Bakery on South Pearl Street and to Sakura Square, home to Pacific Mercantile Company, which sells cookware, Japanese snacks and fresh seafood, as well as Oka General Store. The edition also names several sushi and omakase restaurants, including Uchi, Sushi by SYC, Sushi Den and Kizaki, along with DOMO Japanese Country restaurant.

The edition also looks ahead to The Stockton, a steak restaurant from restaurateur Bryan Dayton. It is scheduled to open in November in the former bank building at the Livestock Exchange at the National Western Center.

“Each month the team compares notes on what they are actually planning to go see, and that is what ends up on the page,” said Emily Rodz, co-founder and editor of Denver Dive. “October brings a wide range of openings across the city, and the series is meant to give readers a practical starting point for finding them.”

Denver Dive is an independently owned publication founded in 2025 by a team of seven, including five journalists. It covers local music, arts and events, food and dining, style, the outdoors, wellness and community life across seven editorial sections. Its content is written by local residents under a human-only editorial policy. The publication also maintains an events calendar and a newsletter.
