InsuranceAUMTM, affiliated with The Institutes®, is pleased to announce the 2026 Insurers’ Private Credit Forum, taking place Nov. 12–13, 2026, in Austin, Texas. This event is dedicated exclusively to Private Credit and Asset-Based Finance (ABF), two asset classes that continue to play an increasingly important role in insurers’ long-term investment strategies.
Now in its third year, the Forum brings together insurance company CIOs, portfolio managers, and investment professionals for two days of meaningful discussions, curated one-on-one meetings, and peer collaboration. Built by LPs for LPs, the event emphasizes education, relationship building, and practical conversations over traditional conference presentations. The Forum is intentionally structured to help insurance investors accomplish in two days what might otherwise require months of individual meetings.
Following the success of previous forums, the 2026 event introduces several enhancements designed to create even greater value for attendees, including an expanded LP-led agenda, new educational roundtable discussions with a special keynote speaker, and additional opportunities for peer interaction. The forum will continue its signature 2:1 LP-to-GP ratio, ensuring productive conversations and efficient, pre-scheduled meetings with leading investment managers.
“What stands out to me about the Forum is how intentionally it is designed around the needs of insurance investors,” said Wesley Carroccio, Executive Director of InsuranceAUM. “With an LP-focused agenda, educational roundtables, and a keynote, it will create even more opportunities to learn and exchange ideas, while preserving the focused one-on-one meetings and peer conversations that make the Forum so valuable. As a first-time attendee, I’m looking forward to experiencing that community firsthand and seeing attendees leave Austin with new perspectives, stronger relationships, and practical insights they can bring back to their teams.”
New LP Leadership and Keynote for 2026
InsuranceAUM is proud to announce that Kenyatta Matheny, Chief Investment Officer, and Randell Beamon III, CFA, CAIA, both of EquiTrust Life Insurance Company, will serve as co-chairs for the 2026 Insurers’ Private Credit Forum. Together, they are helping develop an agenda centered on the real-world challenges facing insurance allocators and designed to encourage candid, solution-oriented discussions among peers.
The 2026 Forum will also feature a keynote from Michel Léonard, Ph.D., CBE, Chief Economist and Data Scientist at the Insurance Information Institute (Triple-I), who will examine how investors can position private credit within the broader portfolio alongside equities, fixed income, and other private strategies competing for capital. Against a backdrop of geopolitical volatility, interest-rate uncertainty, and shifting market conditions, Léonard will explore how disciplined investors can navigate uncertainty while evaluating opportunities within private credit. He will also address recent regulatory scrutiny and market concerns surrounding the asset class, helping attendees distinguish longer-term structural shifts from cyclical pressures and consider the implications for how private credit allocations are sized and structured.
Investing in the Next Generation of Insurance Investors
InsuranceAUM also encourages senior investment leaders to bring junior and emerging members of their investment teams. The Forum offers an outstanding opportunity for rising professionals to deepen their understanding of private credit and ABF, learn directly from experienced insurance investors, expand their professional networks, and gain confidence participating in sophisticated investment discussions. This commitment to developing future leaders reflects InsuranceAUM’s broader mission to educate, elevate, and connect the insurance investment community.
Registration is complimentary for qualified insurance asset owners, and attendance is intentionally limited to preserve the Forum’s collaborative, relationship-driven environment. Early registration is strongly encouraged.
