Metric Point Capital (“Metric Point”), a specialized placement and advisory firm, today announced that Jamaine Cook has joined the firm as Principal after five years at RCP Advisors, a Chicago-based private equity firm investing across the North American lower middle market.

At Metric Point, Jamaine will focus on identifying and providing liquidity solutions to GPs and LPs across private market strategies — including buyouts, growth equity, venture capital, private credit, and infrastructure — within the underserved lower end of the market. This includes supporting GPs as they evaluate continuation vehicles and navigate end-of-fund-life liquidity needs, and helping LPs generate liquidity from existing fund stakes and co-investments.

At RCP, Jamaine served as an investment professional underwriting secondaries, continuation vehicles, and co-investments. Jamaine earned an MBA with concentrations in finance and private equity from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Earlier in his career, he worked in transaction advisory services at KPMG alongside private equity investors. Prior to his career in finance, Jamaine played running back in the NFL for the Cleveland Browns — an experience he credits for the rigor, discipline, and tenacity he now brings to Metric Point.
