Seattle Children’s ranks No. 1 in Washington state and ties for No. 1 in the Pacific region in latest U.S. News & World Report
SEATTLE, Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — For the third year in a row, Seattle Children’s has achieved the U.S. News & World Report’s Best Children’s Hospitals Honor Roll, a distinction awarded to only 10 children’s hospitals across the country.

Seattle Children’s was named the No. 1 pediatric hospital in Washington state and ranked No. 1 in the Pacific region in a tie. The Pacific region includes Alaska, California, Hawaii, Oregon and Washington.
The rankings help parents and caregivers, along with their physicians, navigate the challenges of choosing the best possible care for children with serious illnesses or complex medical needs. The rankings also reflect an organization’s dedication to clinical outcomes, quality improvement and patient safety.

Seattle Children’s ranked in every specialty evaluated, with four specialties placing in the nation’s top 10:

For the 2026-2027 rankings, U.S. News, together with RTI International, a North Carolina-based research firm, collected and analyzed data from 114 children’s hospitals and surveyed thousands of pediatric specialists. Children’s hospitals awarded a “Best” designation excelled at factors such as clinical outcomes, compliance with established best practices and level and quality of hospital resources directly related to patient care.
